On Saturday, August 1, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Kherson’s Central district. A woman was killed in the attack, while eight other people were injured.
At around 4:00 p.m., Russian forces dropped two guided aerial bombs on the city, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported.
The strikes damaged two healthcare facilities, private homes and warehouses. Five people were initially reported injured, but the number later increased.
Among those taken to hospital were a 42-year-old woman who was inside a house during the attack and a 48-year-old man who was outdoors. They were diagnosed with blast injuries, closed head injuries and acoustic trauma.
Later, another victim, a 62-year-old man, sought medical assistance. According to preliminary reports, he sustained a mine-blast injury.
All those injured are undergoing examinations and receiving the necessary medical care.
