One person was killed and 14 others were injured in a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia on June 28. Rescuers pulled a woman and a child from under the rubble, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.

According to rescuers, Russian forces carried out airstrikes on one of the districts of the regional center during the day.
Two children, eight women and four men were injured in the strike. All those injured are receiving the necessary assistance.

According to preliminary information, one more person may still be trapped under the debris. Search and rescue operations are continuing at the scene, and information about the injured is being clarified.
The attack partially destroyed residential houses and damaged nearby homes. No further fire broke out in the houses.
In addition, a garage with a car inside caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the blaze over an area of 25 square meters.
Nearby structures and an apartment building were also damaged.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 15 people, including three children.
All emergency services are working at the scene.
Earlier, Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov said that people injured in the morning strike on Zaporizhzhia continued to seek medical help. Initially, 11 people were reported injured, including two children.
