Donald Trump has emerged victorious in the presidential election in Arizona, the last state where the outcome remained in question.
According to leading US media outlets (The New York Times, CNN, Associated Press), the Republican candidate secured Arizona’s 11 electoral votes, further widening his lead over opponent Kamala Harris. Trump now holds 312 electoral votes, surpassing the 270 needed to win. Harris has received 226 electoral votes.
Trump claimed victory in all seven swing states where voters had been evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans prior to election day. Preliminary figures indicate Trump captured 52.6% of the vote in Arizona, 50.7% in Georgia, 49.7% in Michigan, 50.6% in Nevada, 51.1% in North Carolina, 50.6% in Pennsylvania, and 49.71% in Wisconsin.
Overall, Trump garnered 50.5% of the popular vote (74.6 million voters), while Harris received 47.9% (70.9 million voters).
