        Unmanned Systems Forces report hitting 14 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov

        On the night of July 9, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 14 vessels in the Sea of Azov. This was reported by USF commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.

        According to him, 35 tankers, cargo ships and special-purpose vessels, which he described as part of Russia’s “shadow fleet”, were hit over 96 hours.

        Brovdi also said that overnight, in the operational depth of the occupiers in Crimea and the southern part of the temporarily occupied territories, the “USF Birds” struck 45 military targets.

        Among the targets in Crimea, he named the Saky thermal power plant, three fuel and lubricant depots or bases, two logistics facilities, a Zhitel jamming station, communication towers, temporary deployment points, fuel trucks and 14 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov.

        According to the USF commander, 12 tankers, one cargo ship and one tugboat were hit on the night of July 9.

        In the list of vessels hit on July 9, Brovdi named the tanker Chelsea-6 under the Russian flag, the tanker Aura under the Russian flag, the tanker Sonar-1 under the Russian flag, the tanker Ilya Repin under the Russian flag, the vessel Mercury, whose type is being clarified, the tanker Galiaskar Kamal under the Panamanian flag, the tugboat Alfeo under the Russian flag with the barge Afrodita, the tanker Venera-3 under the Russian flag and the tanker Penelope under the Russian flag.

        Details on five more vessels are still being clarified.

        The USF commander noted that all the tankers had been identified, were part of Russia’s “shadow fleet” and were under international sanctions.

        According to him, all targets were struck under the coordination of the newly created Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

        Brovdi also provided a chronology of the vessel strikes. On July 6, two tankers were hit — Kapitan Barmin and Sanar-3. On July 7, 10 vessels were hit, including the tankers Venera-3, Sanar-1, Sanar-17, Klimena, Teti, Alexey Savrasov, Penelope and Ivan Cheremisinov, as well as a cargo ship whose name is being clarified and the SKS One ferry in Kerch.

        On July 8, according to him, 9 vessels were hit: the tankers Efrosinya V, Maria, Sanar-17, Sanar-4 and Klimena, as well as the cargo ships Donstar, Vladimir Yarygin, Feofan Shokhirev and Evgeniya Z.
