        Russian strikes across Ukraine kill and injure civilians, damage homes and infrastructure

        On the night of August 29 and in the morning, Russian forces attacked Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine with missiles, drones and artillery. People were killed and injured, while residential buildings, businesses, energy and civilian infrastructure, vehicles and a medical facility were damaged.

        Kyiv: residential buildings and an administrative building in the private sector were damaged in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Two residents of a private house sought medical assistance but were not hospitalized. Rescuers also helped a woman who was trapped inside her home because the entrance door had been deformed and inspected the area.

        Kyiv region: on the evening of August 28, a large fire broke out at an enterprise in the Bucha district as a result of a Russian attack on the village of Myla. The fire spread to private residential houses; fires in five houses and a food establishment were extinguished. A total of 165 people were evacuated from the scene, six were injured, and there were also fatalities, although the final number of victims has not yet been established.

        Odesa region: one person was killed and three others were injured in a large-scale Russian attack in the south of the region. Five trucks carrying grain were completely destroyed by fire and three more were damaged. The fires have been extinguished, and work to deal with the consequences of the strike is continuing.

        Mykolaiv region: Russian forces attacked from Friday evening, targeting civilian and energy infrastructure. A household goods supermarket, a warehouse, windows in apartment buildings, an administrative building, three garages and a car were damaged. No one was injured.

        Kherson: in the morning, a Russian drone attacked the Korabelnyi district, killing a man whose identity is being established. Another 44-year-old Kherson resident suffered a blast injury, shrapnel wounds to the chest and an open foot fracture. Medical assistance was also required by a 57-year-old man who was injured this morning in a Russian drone attack on one of the medical facilities in central Kherson. He was diagnosed with a blast injury and concussion.

        Dnipropetrovsk region: Russian forces attacked the Synelnykove, Nikopol and Pavlohrad districts with drones and artillery. Two people were injured, and a 66-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition. Infrastructure and a business were damaged, while a logistics company building caught fire in Pavlohrad.

        Zaporizhzhia: a private house in Zaporizhzhia was damaged in a Russian strike in the morning, and one person was injured.

        Sumy: overnight, a Russian drone attacked ambulances parked on the grounds of a hospital in Sumy. Two ambulances, a civilian car and the entrance to the medical facility were damaged, but no one was injured.
