Over the past two weeks, Ukrainian forces have made significant progress on several fronts, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From August 4 to 16, joint operations by units of the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, part of the 1st Corps of the NGU “Azov,” allowed the liberation of several settlements in Donetsk Oblast, including Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodyane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.
According to the General Staff, the enemy suffered heavy losses in personnel: 910 killed, 335 wounded, and 37 taken prisoner. Equipment and weapons losses were also significant: 8 tanks destroyed or damaged, 6 armored combat vehicles, 103 units of auto- and motorized equipment, one multiple rocket launcher, 18 artillery pieces, and 91 drones of various types.
Stabilization operations continue toward Dobropillia, where occupiers continue to surrender: in the past day alone, units of the 19th Army Corps captured six Russian servicemen.
Additionally, forces of the 7th Air Assault Corps and allied units cleared the city of Pokrovsk from enemy presence. On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna front, Ukrainian units advanced in several locations, including the area of Yablunivka in Sumy Oblast – up to 1,000 meters.
The fighting continues, and Ukrainian forces are reclaiming territory and maintaining control over liberated settlements.
