On the night of March 21, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck facilities of the Saratov oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region. The enterprise processes crude oil and produces fuel and lubricants used by the Russian occupying army.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Saratov refinery is one of the oldest oil-processing facilities in Russia, with a processing volume of 4.8 million tons as of 2023.
According to preliminary information, a secondary oil processing unit and a vertical storage tank RVS-10000 were hit.
