Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the upcoming G7, European Union and NATO summits should result in concrete decisions to strengthen support for Ukraine amid continuing Russian attacks.

According to the president, Ukraine is preparing for meetings with its partners, where enhancing protection against Russia’s ongoing aerial attacks will be a key topic.

“The G7, EU and NATO summits are ahead of us. It is very important that these talks end with concrete decisions. We expect substantive meetings with our partners,” Zelenskyy said.

The president noted that Russia launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs and 17 missiles of various types against Ukraine over the past week alone.

Against this backdrop, Kyiv is seeking additional air defense systems, expanded long-range strike capabilities, broader cooperation through the Drone Deals initiative and further sanctions pressure on Moscow.

“First and foremost, we need support for our air defense and long-range capabilities, expanded cooperation in the Drone Deals format, and stronger sanctions pressure on Russia,” Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that Ukraine aims to end the war on fair terms and with reliable security guarantees.

“We must end this war with dignity and guaranteed security. Through the strength and unity of our partners and continued pressure on Russia, this can be achieved in a lasting way,” the president said.

The G7 summit will take place in Evian, France, from June 15 to 17. Ukraine also expects important decisions at the upcoming EU and NATO summits, where support for Kyiv and strengthening European security will be among the key issues on the agenda.
