Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with predictable annual support amounting to €3 billion. The two countries also agreed to continue and expand joint weapons production.

Zelenskyy announced this after meeting Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten in Kyiv.

“We need stable and sustained support every day while the war continues. The Netherlands demonstrates exactly the kind of support that works most effectively. It is a predictable annual amount — €3 billion every year,” Zelenskyy said.

According to the president, the Netherlands is also investing in the PURL program, which allows Ukraine to purchase missiles for air defense systems. The leaders also discussed Ukrainian soldiers’ request for radars and the continuation of defense assistance.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has already begun producing weapons jointly with the Netherlands and that this cooperation will be expanded. He added that the meeting included detailed discussions on investments, licenses and possible production volumes.

During the talks, the leaders also discussed support for Ukraine’s energy sector, sanctions against Russia, efforts to establish a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, and countering Russia’s shadow oil fleet.

For his part, Rob Jetten said the Netherlands plans to expand cooperation with Ukraine in drone production together with Dutch and Ukrainian companies to increase the supply of weapons for the battlefield and for Europe as a whole.

In a joint declaration, the two sides confirmed that the new Dutch government will continue to provide comprehensive long-term support to Ukraine, including military, political, diplomatic and non-military assistance.
