        The Defence Forces shot down 63 enemy drones overnight

        On the night of 2 March 2025, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using 79 Shahed-type attack drones and various types of imitation drones. The drones were launched from the territory of Russia, in particular from the areas of Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

        This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

        The attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

        As of 08:30 a.m., 63 enemy attack drones were reported destroyed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

        Another 16 imitator drones were lost without any negative consequences.

        The attack affected facilities in Kharkiv, Sumy, Khmelnytsky and Zaporizhzhia regions.
