A six-year-old girl who was seriously injured during a Russian shelling of Sumy region on March 28 has died in hospital. During the attack, her older sister was killed.
This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.
According to him, doctors fought for the child’s life for several days, but her injuries proved incompatible with life.
“Unbearable pain. The parents lost two daughters as a result of this strike,” Hryhorov said.
It is recalled that on March 28, Russian forces shelled a civilian house with artillery in the Znob-Novhorodske community of the Shostka district. At the time of the strike, two sisters were in the house.
As a result of the attack, 20-year-old Daryna was killed, and her six-year-old sister Yevheniia suffered severe injuries and was in critical condition. The girls’ parents were also injured.
