On May 4, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Russian forces launched a missile strike on the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Five people were killed.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It has been preliminarily established that the Russian military used an “Iskander” ballistic missile to strike Merefa. The missile struck the road surface.
Five people were killed: three women and two men. Another 19 people were injured and suffered acute stress reactions.
The attack damaged residential buildings, utility buildings, shops, auto repair shops, and vehicles.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
