Today, October 6, the roof of a perinatal center caught fire as a result of a Russian strike in Sumy. No information about casualties has been received.
This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
At the time of the attack, there were 35 patients, 11 children, and 120 employees in the perinatal center. Everyone managed to get to the shelter.
According to acting mayor Artem Kobzar, preliminary data indicates that the occupiers struck the medical facility with an Italmas drone. All relevant services are working at the site.
“The threat of another strike remains, so please stay away from windows and, if possible, stay in safe places,” Kobzar warned.
