On the morning of 2 August, Kherson was again subjected to heavy shelling by Russian troops. According to the regional military administration, the strikes were carried out with barrel and rocket artillery, as well as aviation.
At around 5:30 a.m., the occupiers attacked the Korabelny district of the city. As a result, a 52-year-old woman who was at home at the time of the shelling was injured. She was diagnosed with concussion, blast injury and closed head injury. She was treated by an ambulance crew.
Another attack took place at around 06:30 in the Dnipro district. A 21-year-old resident of Kherson was wounded there. She suffered an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to her arm. The woman is under medical supervision.
Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin reported that residential buildings in the Korabelny district were damaged as a result of the shelling. One of them is the home of an elderly woman, who, fortunately, was not injured. The central market was also hit, with damage to retail outlets.
In addition, according to preliminary data, the Russians carried out an air strike in the area of the bridge. Information about the consequences of this attack is being clarified.
