The official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has held a briefing on the topic of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
Here are some of the most notable of her statements. It should be noted that she did not provide any evidence to back up her words.
- Russia, according to Zakharova, offered 939 POWs for exchange this year, but Kiev ‘took’, as she put it, only 279.
- Zakharova also accused Kiev of ‘sabotaging’ the prisoner exchange process ‘because they are focusing on exchanging fighters from nationalist battalions.’
- Russia is not refusing to include captured AFU marines in the exchange lists, according to the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, 29 captives have been returned in various exchanges
- No third countries have approached Moscow with offers to become patrons of captured Ukrainians, Russian agencies reported Zakharova’s statements.
The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on this bullshit.
