During a night-time attack on the Odessa region, one of the Russian drones hit the home of local zoo director Igor Belyakov. The building was completely destroyed.
This was reported by the Odessa Zoo. The statement noted that the director himself was not injured, but his mobile phone was burned, so he is currently unable to answer calls.
According to the State Emergency Service, three people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on the region.
‘As a result of the strike, private residential houses and farm buildings were destroyed, and a garage with three cars was destroyed. Fires broke out at the scene, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers and volunteers,’ the statement said.
The injured were taken to hospital.
