Russian drone attack lasted a day: 47 UAVs shot down

Russia has once again attacked Ukraine with drones, using 72 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones. The launches were carried out from the cities of Bryansk and Orel, and the attack lasted from 10:00 a.m. on December 22 to 9:00 a.m. on December 23.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9:00 a.m., 47 Shaheds and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, and Odesa regions.

Due to the active counteraction of the Defense Forces, 25 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area.

In Khmelnytsky and Kyiv regions, private businesses and homes were damaged in the Russian attack. No casualties have been reported, and the victims are being provided with assistance.
