The Russian Ministry of Defence claims to have shot down its own drones that were launched at Ukraine’s energy facilities.
According to the military department, this was done on the orders of the Russian president.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, at the time of the order, seven Russian attack drones were in the air, targeting energy facilities associated with the military-industrial complex located in Mykolaiv region.
‘The Russian air defence system was ordered to neutralise the unmanned aerial vehicles, six of which were shot down by Pantsyr SAMs, and one by a Russian VKS fighter jet,’ the Russian Defence Ministry said.
In its statement, the Ministry of Defence also said that a few hours after Putin’s talks with Donald Trump ended, Ukraine ‘launched a deliberate attack’ using three drones on an energy infrastructure facility in the village of Kavkazskaya in Krasnodar Territory. As a result, one oil tank was depressurised, causing a fire over an area of 1,700 square metres.
In fact, after Trump and Putin talked about a ceasefire, Russia attacked Ukraine with 145 drones and ballistic missiles.
Russian troops struck again at the civilian infrastructure of Sumy region. Two hospitals were hit.
In addition, the Russians struck at the critical infrastructure of the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk region. It is reported that the enemy hit one of the substations in the city.
