On September 4, a Russian drone struck the central SBU building on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, opposite St. Sophia Cathedral. The drone was directed specifically at the office of the head of the SBU in the building.
This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, all emergency services are already working at the scene.
Zelenskyy said he had spoken with SBU chief Oleksandr Poklad and instructed him to prepare an “adequate, tangible and, if possible, mirror” response to Russia for the strike.
“Our military will support this response,” Zelenskyy said.
As Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported earlier, a fire broke out on the roof of a non-residential building in the capital’s Shevchenkivskyi district after a Russian UAV fell. Five people are known to have been injured, four of whom were hospitalized.
