Yuriy Ushakov, an aide to the Russian dictator, stated that there were no agreements between Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This refers to both formats—neither a bilateral meeting with Zelenskyy nor a trilateral meeting involving the U.S.

This was reported by Russian media “RIA Novosti” and TASS.

According to Ushakov, during a meeting in Alaska, Putin and Trump allegedly discussed further actions in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. However, there are currently no specific proposals to elevate the level of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.

“There were no agreements between Putin and Trump regarding a meeting between the Russian president and Zelenskyy or a trilateral meeting,” the statement said.

As a reminder, the day before, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that two weeks had already passed since the U.S. president gave Russia 14 days to demonstrate readiness for negotiations at the leadership level.

“Ukraine is undoubtedly ready for this. But the only thing Russia is doing is investing in further war. All their signals point to this,” the president said.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that in a conversation with Russian leader Putin, he had begun preparations for a meeting between the Kremlin head and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Russian leader expressed readiness for this meeting. At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that such meetings “need to be very carefully prepared.”
