Russian forces carried out mass overnight attacks on several regions of southern Ukraine on September 20, according to regional authorities and the State Emergency Service (SES).

In Mykolaiv, Governor Vitalii Kim said the city was hit by a combined strike involving ballistic missiles and Shahed kamikaze drones. Industrial facilities were targeted, sparking fires. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. In the Bashtanka district, drones struck a farm in the Snihurivka community, setting warehouses ablaze and damaging four homes and two vehicles. The fire was extinguished, with no injuries reported.

The Dnipro region suffered the heaviest toll. Governor Serhii Lysak reported that one person was killed and 13 others injured after missiles and drones struck the city and surrounding areas. Most of the wounded are in moderate condition, while one man remains in critical condition. Fires broke out in apartment blocks, private houses, garages, and businesses in Dnipro, while a strike in Pavlohrad also caused a blaze at an industrial site. In Nikopol, Russian forces used FPV drones and artillery to hit the town center and the Pokrovska community, igniting a private home.

The SES said explosions were heard across multiple regions, with emergency crews still working to eliminate the consequences of the strikes.
