On the night of 20 March, Russia’s territory was once again subjected to a massive drone attack. One of the most powerful attacks took place in Engels, Saratov region, where the Russian Strategic Aviation military airfield is located.
The Russian Ministry of Defence counted 132 allegedly downed or intercepted drones. 54 of them were over Saratov region, 40 – over Voronezh region, 22 – over Belgorod region, nine – over Rostov region, three – over Kursk region and temporarily occupied Crimea, one – over Lipetsk region.
Local residents reported a fire near the local oil depot in Engels. Later, public media posted photos and videos of smoke over Engels.
Public media also reported that, in addition to the oil refinery, drones attacked a military airfield in Engels.
