        Russia has dealt a massive blow to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure: emergency blackouts have been introduced

        The Russian army carried out a combined massive strike on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure overnight. Emergency power cuts have been introduced in a number of regions, and rescue operations are ongoing.

        According to Energy Minister Svitlana Grinchuk, rescuers and energy workers will begin to deal with the aftermath as soon as the security situation allows.

        According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the strike affected the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

        In Kharkiv, there is already a shortage of electricity in certain areas, and in others there may be temporary interruptions in water supply. The metro is operating in shelter mode. This was announced by the city’s mayor, Igor Terekhov.
