Ukraine may receive production of missiles for Patriot systems, but launching such a process will require many weeks. Poland is already ready to join service maintenance and further actions related to missiles for Patriot.
This was reported by Polska Agencja Prasowa, citing Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.
According to the Polish minister, the task is not simple, since currently only the United States produces missiles for Patriot systems on a scale that does not meet even the needs of the United States itself.
“This is not simple, if today only in the United States there is production of missiles for Patriot systems on a scale that does not even secure the United States, so this needs to be done very quickly. We are determined. Poland is ready immediately for service maintenance and further actions,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
He also reported that Poland is in a group of four NATO countries together with Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands, which received in Ankara the status of states to which a transfer of technologies related to production and service maintenance of missiles for Patriot systems may take place.
According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, Poland is one of the countries indicated by the United States as a place where production and service maintenance should take place. He added that Warsaw will also cooperate with Ukraine on this issue.
