The 1128th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From March 26 to March 27, 224 combat engagements were recorded at the front. The situation remains the most tense in the Pokrovske, Novopavlivka and Kursk sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using one missile and 77 air strikes, dropping 116 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 6743 attacks, including 159 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,646 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the areas of populated areas:
- Turya, Krasnopillia, Ugroids, Mykhailivske, Prokhody, Miropilske in Sumy region;
- Novopil, Donetsk region;
- Komyshuvakha, Temyrivka, Kamianske, Novoukrainka, Prymorske, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Novooleksandrivka, Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy twice tried to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders towards Vovchansk.
Four attacks took place in the Kupyansk sector yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault near Holubivka and Zahryzove.
The enemy attacked in the Liman sector 14 times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense near the settlements of Kopanky, Yampolivka, Novosergiyivka, towards Novyi, Kolodyazy and Novomykhailivka.
In the Siverskyi sector, Ukrainian troops successfully stopped 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Ivano-Daryivka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked four times in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Predtechyno and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 20 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Dachne, Krymske and in the direction of Diliyivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 88 aggressor attacks near the towns of Oleksandropil, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka and towards the towns of Preobrazhenka, Pokrovsk, Promin, Vidrodzhennia, Novosergiivka.
Novopavlivske, Huliaipil, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivsk sector, the enemy conducted 25 attacks in the direction of Rozlyv, Vesele, as well as near Kostiantynopol and Skudne.
In the Huliaipil sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 16 attacks in the areas of Rivne, Novosilka, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole and Novopil.
In the Orikhiv sector, occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces nine times in the areas of Mali Shcherbaki, Lobkove, Shcherbaki and in the direction of Stepove.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped two enemy attacks.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Over the past day, the enemy launched 19 air strikes, dropping 28 guided aerial bombs, and fired 492 times, nine of them from multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 invaders’ assault operations.
