The National Guard of Ukraine’s “Peaky Blinders” unit received a special gift from the writer of the popular British TV series Peaky Blinders, Stephen Knight, – caps similar to those worn by the show’s characters.

According to the National Guard, while filming a story for the BBC about the fighting in the north of Kharkiv region, the military unit signed their own caps and asked to give them to the lead actor of Tommy Shelby, actor Cillian Murphy.

“Murphy received the gift, kept one cap for himself, and signed and sent the other back to our defenders,” the National Guard said.

Later, Stephen Knight, the series’ screenwriter, also contacted us. As a sign of support, he handed over a batch of thirty caps from the official costume designer of the series, Garrison Tailors, to the Kharkiv-based “Peaky Blinders”.
