On the morning of November 17, servicewoman Natalia Khrabarchuk successfully intercepted and destroyed Russian Cruise Missile using an IGLA MANPADS.
Before joining the army, Natalia worked as a kindergarten teacher. This was her first combat launch and first direct hit.
“When the enemy missile appeared, I put all emotions aside and concentrated. After hundreds of training sessions on simulators, this was the first real launch that hit the target,” she said.
Natalia completed a five-month training program, mastering various types of portable anti-aircraft missile systems.
