For the sixth time since the beginning of October, Russia has launched a massive attack on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure: dozens of missiles, including ballistic missiles, and hundreds of Shahed drones have targeted Naftogaz Group facilities. There are injuries among employees and temporary shutdowns of critical facilities. The company is asking consumers to save gas where possible.
On Thursday night, the enemy launched another combined attack on civilian facilities that provide gas and heat to Ukrainians. According to Naftogaz, four employees were injured, damage was recorded in several regions, and part of the critical infrastructure was temporarily taken out of service. Such strikes directly affect the company’s own production volumes, which it is forced to partially compensate for with imports.
‘I appeal to everyone — please use gas sparingly if possible. Every cubic metre saved today counts. We have the strength to cope with this too. Thank you to everyone who is helping,’ said Serhiy Koretsky, chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
