The death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv on September 1 has risen to nine. One of those wounded in the Russian strike died in hospital.

“A 30-year-old man who was wounded as a result of the enemy attack on September 1 died in hospital,” the KCMA said.

On the night of September 1, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones.
In the Holosiivskyi district, debris from UAVs and a missile fell at several locations, killing one person.
In the Darnytskyi district, a missile struck a non-residential facility, causing a fire. Seven people were killed there and one more person was injured. A railway depot was hit — six of the seven people killed were employees of Ukrainian Railways.
In the morning, Russian forces continued the drone attack. One of the drones struck a 16-story building in the Podilskyi district, where three people were injured.
