President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia continues massive drone attacks against Ukraine and is deliberately targeting civilian and critical infrastructure. According to him, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 111 Russian drones overnight.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that more than 100 Russian drones remained in Ukraine’s airspace as of the morning, with additional waves of attacks possible throughout the day.

According to the president, Russian forces are carrying out attacks “brazenly” and deliberately targeting railway infrastructure and civilian facilities in Ukrainian cities.

Zelenskyy said Russian forces overnight attacked residential and railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, port infrastructure in the Odesa region, and energy facilities in the Poltava region.

“Unfortunately, these strikes have left people wounded and killed,” the president said, expressing condolences to the victims’ families.

He also stressed that international attention to the war must not fade.

“Every time the topic of war disappears from the top of the news, it encourages Russia to become even more brutal,” Zelenskyy said.

The president added that Ukraine needs daily support to protect its skies and implement defense agreements reached with international partners.
