As of January 28, as a result of shelling of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions are without power. Emergency repair work is continuing where the security situation allows.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
There is still a significant power shortage in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The situation remains difficult, and emergency blackouts are being enforced. A return to the predicted hourly schedules will take place after the power system stabilizes, according to the report.
Hourly blackout schedules for consumers, as well as power restriction schedules for industry and business, are in effect in all regions. In several regions, emergency blackouts are also being implemented.
Due to bad weather, more than 700 settlements in Vinnytsia, Odesa, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Ternopil, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy regions remain without electricity.
