Following another wave of Russian attacks, 28 substations and other important energy facilities were hit in Ukraine. At the same time, Starlink / Starshield equipment is ceasing to function at speeds of 130–161 km/h on different sections of the front, complicating logistics and the use of certain types of drones.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a coordination meeting on the situation in the regions.

According to him, restoration work is continuing after the strikes, while electricity is gradually being restored to consumers.

During the meeting, the prime minister reported on preparations of infrastructure for the heating season. Key areas of focus were also identified for government agencies, energy companies, and regional and local authorities.

Zelenskyy said the defense minister, foreign minister and the Presidential Office team had been given urgent tasks to contact partners that could strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses as quickly as possible.

“There are political agreements that have not been implemented at the working level. There are also delays in certain types of vital supplies at the level of the Department of War in the United States,” the president said.

According to him, an additional meeting is due to take place in the evening following the day’s contacts with partners.

Ukraine to increase production of turrets against Shahed drones

Zelenskyy also said that together with the defense minister, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and the commander of the Air Force, additional production capacity had been identified for turrets that have proven effective against Shahed drones.

Orders for such systems will be increased, while organizational, financial and production processes are to be accelerated.

The president also instructed officials to contact the Baltic states regarding support for Ukraine’s logistics.

Starlink / Starshield stops working at speeds of 130–161 km/h

The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces separately reported on the situation with the use of Starlink / Starshield services.

“Unfortunately, we are recording that in different sections of the front, the equipment stops functioning at speeds of 130–161 kilometers per hour,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, this slows frontline logistics and limits the use of various types of drones, primarily mid-strike drones and interceptors targeting jet-powered Shahed drones.

The president said the issue should once again be raised with partners at all levels.

“Speed matters when it comes to protecting lives,” Zelenskyy stressed.

Earlier, “Glavnoe in Ukraine” reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused the Donald Trump administration of taking steps that, in his words, looked like an attempt to force Ukraine to capitulate. The president also cited delays in Patriot missile deliveries, restrictions on Starlink / Starshield operations and pressure over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
