Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has ordered the transfer of 50,000 soldiers from other branches and types of military to the Land Forces.

This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing its own sources.

This decision was part of the preparation for the launch of the rotation mechanism in the army, as the current opportunities for replenishment of units are limited.

“Thanks to these movements between the troops, as well as recruitment, we will be able to do this. There is already an approved rotation plan,” an unnamed source told UP.

According to the source, these measures have nothing to do with possible peace talks or freezing of the front line, and the rotations will continue even in the face of a full-scale war.

Earlier, on January 14, it was reported that the command of the Armed Forces began a large-scale transfer of aviation personnel and anti-aircraft system maintenance to infantry units.

“The decision to reinforce the ground brigades on the front line with servicemen from other branches and types of the Armed Forces is a forced step by the military leadership to strengthen our defense,” the General Staff said at the time.
