President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a number of personnel changes in the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovdi has been appointed Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, replacing Vadym Sukharevskyi. The latter, in turn, became the Deputy Commander of the East Operational Command.
Also, Oleh Apostol became the new commander of the Air Assault Forces, replacing Ihor Skybyuk.
In addition, Zelensky confirmed the appointment of Major General Mykhailo Drapaty as commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The deputy commander of the National Guard, Oleksandr Bilous, was also dismissed.
Ukraine’s Defence Minister Rustem Umerov noted that all these changes have one goal – ‘to strengthen our guys at the front, to provide them with everything they need to fight effectively’.
