On the night of August 5, Lozova in the Kharkiv region suffered the most massive shelling since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. This was reported by the mayor, Serhiy Zelenskyy.

The strikes damaged critical infrastructure, multi-story residential buildings, and private homes. There are wounded, including two children.

Rescue workers, medics, and emergency services are working on site. As of this morning, part of the city remained without electricity, including the Avylivka microdistrict and the Katerynivsky starosta district. Utility workers are working to restore water supply and eliminate the consequences of the shelling.

Railway routes have also been temporarily changed due to damage to infrastructure.

“Last night, the Russians carried out a real terror against peaceful people who were sleeping quietly,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
