A rare copy of the US Constitution, printed 237 years ago and sent to the states for ratification, was sold for $9 million at an auction in North Carolina.
According to CNN, the auction house Brunk Auctions sold the document. The only copy of this type is believed to have been privately owned.
This is one of 100 copies printed by the Secretary of the United States Congress, Charles Thomson. Only eight copies are known to have survived, with the remaining seven in public ownership.
