On Sunday, 16 March, there will be rain at night in Ukraine (except for the southern and southeastern regions), with sleet in the north and west of the country; during the day in the southwestern, central and most eastern regions there will be rain (sleet in the Carpathians), and no significant precipitation in the rest of the country, the Ukrainian Weather Service reported.
At night, in the western and northern regions, there will be slush build-up, ice, and ice cover on the roads.
The wind will be northeast, north, 5-10 m/s.
Temperature at night in the western, northern, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions will be from 3°C to 2°C (up to 5°C in Volyn and Rivne regions), during the day 3-8°C; in the rest of the country at night 4-9°C, in the extreme south up to 12°C, during the day 8-13°C, in the south and south-east of the country 15-20°C.
In Kyiv, on Sunday, there will be sleet at night, no significant precipitation during the day. The wind will be northeast, north, 5-10 m/s. The temperature at night will be 0-2° below zero, during the day 5-7° above zero.
On Monday, March 17, in Ukraine, there will be light wet snow and rain (moderate rain in the east); at night in most western, northern and central regions, no significant precipitation.
The wind will be mainly north-west, 7-12 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the western regions during the day.
Temperatures in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and Poltava regions will be 1-6° below zero at night, 0-5° above zero during the day; in the rest of the country at night 2-7° above zero, 6-11° above zero during the day.
In Kyiv, on Monday, no significant precipitation at night, light wet snow during the day. The wind will be mostly north-west, 7-12 m/s. The temperature at night will be 1-3° below zero, during the day 2-4° above zero.
