        Kyiv death toll from massive Russian strike rises to 30

        The number of people killed in Kyiv as a result of the massive Russian strike has risen to 30. Another 91 people were injured.

        Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported the updated figures.

        According to rescuers, emergency and rescue operations are continuing at the strike sites.

        Earlier, the emergency service said one of the injured had died in a medical facility, while rescuers recovered another body from under the rubble. At that point, the total death toll in the capital had risen to 27.

        As of the morning of July 3, after three more bodies were recovered from the rubble, the number of victims of the Russian attack increased to 30.

        A total of 91 people are also known to have been injured in the strike on the capital.

        Rescuers continue working at the sites of destruction.

        Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv overnight on July 2, using various types of missiles and attack drones. The worst destruction was recorded in residential areas, particularly in the capital’s Darnytskyi district.

        Kyiv declared July 3 a Day of Mourning for those killed in the Russian attack.
