The Kremlin said there is currently no formalized “roadmap” for resolving the war in Ukraine. At the same time, Moscow says it expects trilateral talks to resume in the “foreseeable future.”
The statement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, according to Interfax.
Peskov said the Russian side does not intend to publicly discuss individual elements of a possible settlement because there are currently no “formalized, clear programs or roadmaps.”
At the same time, he said there is a “general initiative” and political willingness to resume trilateral negotiations.
“We hope that these talks will resume in the foreseeable future,” Peskov said.
He was commenting on remarks by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said that a possible “roadmap” for settling the war in Ukraine could emerge within the next few weeks.
The Kremlin spokesman also said that Moscow continues contacts with the US side.
