Moscow says it is waiting for a signal from the new US administration to organize a conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Russian media reported.
“Putin is ready. We are waiting for signals, everyone is ready. It is difficult to predict anything, but if such a conversation takes place, we will immediately inform you,” Peskov said.
Earlier, Donald Trump said that he plans to meet with Putin “very quickly” after officially taking office on January 20.
It is also known that Trump’s team is preparing for a phone call with the Russian president.
