        Keith Kellogg denies Lukashenko’s words about “pressure on Kyiv” for a truce

        Retired U.S. General Keith Kellogg, special representative of U.S. President Donald Trump, has denied statements by self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that the United States is ready to force Kyiv to make concessions in exchange for a truce.

        Kellogg’s reaction appeared on his official account on the X network after publications in the Russian media quoting Lukashenko. According to the Belarusian leader, during the conversation, Kellogg allegedly said that Washington was ready to limit Ukraine’s military actions to achieve peace.

        Kellogg called this interpretation incorrect:

        “This quote is out of context. In my conversation with Lukashenko, we discussed a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Any restrictions for Kyiv were conditional – subject to mirror actions on the part of Moscow. I have never made any statements about limiting Ukraine’s actions outside of a total ceasefire,” Kellogg wrote.

        According to the general, he has clearly outlined his position: peace is possible only if both sides simultaneously cease hostilities, without unilateral concessions.
