Explosions have been heard in the Russian city of Cheboksary. Local authorities reported a drone attack and a fire on the territory of one of the enterprises.
The head of the Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolayev, confirmed that two drones had crashed on the territory of the VNIIR-”Progress” enterprise, which led to a decision to halt production.
According to the Supernova+ Telegram channel, the attack occurred at VNIIR-”Progress”, an enterprise that cooperates with the Russian Ministry of Defence and develops navigation systems.
It is noted that “Progress” produces satellite navigation equipment for drones such as Geranium-2, Orlan, UMPK, UMPB and other Russian strike and reconnaissance systems.
