Hourly power outages will be introduced in some regions of Ukraine on October 1 due to the difficult situation in the power system following Russian attacks on energy facilities. For residential consumers, restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at a level of 0.5 outage group.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
For industry and businesses, power limitation schedules will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Hourly outages for all categories of consumers are planned:
- from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.;
- from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The volume of restrictions will amount to 0.5 outage group.
Ukrenergo stressed that the restrictions are being introduced because of the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities.
At the same time, the situation in the power system may change, so consumers were urged to follow updates from distribution system operators in their regions and use electricity sparingly.
It has not been specified which regions will face power outages tomorrow. The Energy Ministry previously reported that on September 30, emergency power outages were introduced following multiple Russian attacks on energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions.
