Lead: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said the operational situation on the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne axes remains difficult, with the enemy concentrating its main efforts there.
Text: Oleksandr Syrskyi said this in a post reporting on his work directly in these frontline areas. According to him, about 400 combat engagements took place on the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne axes over the past week alone.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that Russian forces continue attempts to break through, are increasing pressure and bringing in reserves. He said the key task for Ukraine’s Defense Forces is to inflict maximum losses on the enemy, destroy its reserves and consistently reduce its offensive potential.
During work on the ground, Syrskyi said, commanders and units are conducting a detailed analysis of the course of hostilities. The enemy continues to use tactics involving advances by small infantry groups, which requires constant battlefield monitoring, clear coordination between units and flexible tactical decisions to detect, contain and destroy them in a timely manner.
Special attention is being paid to strengthening unmanned systems units, primarily the use of strike drones, as well as to developing logistics with the involvement of robotic systems. Syrskyi emphasized that as the war changes, approaches to warfare must also change, and that scaling up modern technologies directly affects combat effectiveness and helps save the lives of Ukrainian service members.
At the end of the statement, the Commander-in-Chief thanked Ukrainian soldiers for destroying the invaders, for coordinated teamwork and for their high level of professionalism.
