Units of the Department of Active Measures of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (GUR), including the “Artan” unit, together with the 2nd Assault Battalion of the Third Assault Brigade, carried out a successful offensive operation in Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces expelled the occupiers and restored control over the settlement of Novomykhailivka.
According to intercepted communications, the operation caught the enemy by surprise. Russian forces lost about a company of personnel and were forced to redeploy reserves from other parts of the front.
The coordinated efforts of intelligence, assault units, heavy equipment, and drones allowed Ukrainian forces to improve their tactical position and strengthen the defensive line in the area.
As of now, Novomykhailivka has been cleared of Russian forces and is fully under Ukrainian army control. Ukrainian flags are returning to where they belong.
