The 1,268th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From August 13 to 14, 148 battles were recorded on the front line. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 56 attacks, in the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy stormed 14 times, and in the Lyman direction, 13 assaults were repelled.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched two missile and 87 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using four missiles and dropping 154 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,758 shellings, 82 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,423 kamikaze drones to strike targets.
The following populated areas were subjected to air strikes:
- Boyaro-Lezhachi, Bilovody in Sumy region;
- Pokrovske in Dnipropetrovsk region;
- Uspenivka, Novoandriivka, Primorske, Orikhiv, Chervona Krynytsia in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Antonivka in Kherson region.
Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian attacks. The enemy carried out 16 air strikes, dropped a total of 27 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 289 shelling attacks, including 14 with multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lyman, and Siversky directions
Over the past day, five clashes took place in the South Slobozhansky direction in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamianka, Zapadny, and Fyholivka.
Three attacks by the occupiers took place in the Kupiansk direction. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Golubivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 13 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Novovodyane, Karpivka, Ridkodub, Kolodyazi, and Torske.
In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 assault operations by the occupying forces in the areas of Hryhorivka, Novoselivka, and Pereizne.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
Three clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction. The enemy attacked in the direction of Stupochok and Predtechino.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out seven attacks in the areas of Shcherbinivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the direction of Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 56 offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoeekonomichne, Rodynske, Promin, Chunyishyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Horikove, Novoukrainka, and Dachne.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovsk, Orikhiv, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 14 attempts to break through the defensive lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Maliivka, Tovste, Shevchenko, and Oleksandrograd.
In the Huliaipilske direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance near Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked near the settlement of Plavni.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped four attempts by the aggressor to advance.
No signs of enemy offensive formations have been detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
