        General Staff: Russia has lost more than 1.18 million troops since the start of the invasion

        Ukraine’s General Staff has updated the estimated losses of the Russian army as of 9 December 2025. Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost more than 900 soldiers.

        According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total combat losses of Russian forces from 24 February 2022 to 9 December 2025 are estimated at about 1,182,610 personnel. Another 930 occupiers were eliminated over the past day.

        • UAVs of operational-tactical level – 88,889 (+432),
        • cruise missiles – 4,058,
        • ships and boats – 28,
        • submarines – 1,
        • vehicles and fuel tankers – 69,243 (+61),
        • special equipment – 4,019 (+1).

        The General Staff noted that the data is being clarified.
