General Staff debunks fake reports about the “capture” of Dobropillia: Russian sabotage group destroyed

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied Russian propaganda claims about the alleged “capture” of Dobropillia in the Zaporizhzhia region. The military confirmed that the enemy sabotage group was destroyed and the settlement remains fully under Ukrainian control.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian propaganda is actively circulating false statements about alleged Russian control over Dobropillia near Hulyaipole. In a statement by the General Staff, it is emphasized that these information attacks do not correspond to reality. According to the military, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group infiltrated the outskirts of the village, taking advantage of weather conditions, but was eliminated.

During counter-sabotage actions on the approaches to the settlement, Ukrainian defenders killed three Russian servicemen. Two more—described by the General Staff as likely “suicide operatives” sent to display Russian flags in the “allegedly captured” village—were destroyed shortly afterward.
