Since the morning of 12 October, 77 combat engagements have been recorded along the front. Ukraine’s Defence Forces are holding the lines, stopping the enemy and disrupting its plans. Russian artillery strikes hit, in particular, Bachivsk and Bila Bereza in Sumy region, and Zaliznyi Mist in Chernihiv region.
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks; the enemy carried out six air strikes, dropped 10 guided aerial bombs and conducted 110 shelling attacks. In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, there were 12 engagements near Kamianka, Zapadne and Kutkivka, and towards Bolohivka and Kolodiazne; five attacks are ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, three engagements are ongoing; in total since morning the enemy has tried four times to advance near Kupiansk, Pishchane and Petropavlivka. In the Lyman sector, five engagements took place, with attacks near Novomykhailivka, Drobysheve, Myrne and Shandryholove. In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy launched one attack near Yampil. In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled an assault towards Stupochky.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, seven of eight enemy attacks were stopped near Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleschiivka, Rusyn Yar and Poltavka. In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces attempted to advance 26 times near Volodymyrivka, Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novosergiivka, Kotliarivka, Horikhove and Dachne; 24 attacks have already been repelled.
In the Oleksandrivsk sector, ten attacks were repelled and four engagements are ongoing; the enemy is operating near Ivanivka, Oleksandrohrad, Sosnivka, Sichneve, Vorone, Stepove, Verbove, Oleksiivka and Novohryhorivka. In the Huliaipole sector, no offensive actions were recorded. In the Orikhiv sector, the aggressor mounted three unsuccessful attacks near Stepove and towards Stepnohirsk. In the Prydniprovia sector, no offensive actions were recorded; an air strike was carried out near Mykolaivka.
No significant changes were reported on the other axes. Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in its rear.
