The UK has announced the largest-ever package of drone supplies for Ukraine, which includes the delivery of at least 120,000 drones in 2026. Deliveries of some of the drones have already begun this month.
This was reported by the UK government.
The information was released ahead of UK Defense Secretary John Healey’s trip to Berlin, where he will co-chair the 34th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group alongside German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The package will include thousands of long-range strike drones, reconnaissance and surveillance drones, logistics drones, and maritime systems. All of these technologies are already being used on the battlefield in Ukraine.
The UK Ministry of Defence notes that drones play a key role in Ukraine’s counterattacks and its defence against Russian attacks. In particular, in March 2026, Russia deployed approximately 6,500 strike drones, significantly more than in February.
Most of the investments under the package will go to British companies, including Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics.
“In the fifth year of Putin’s brutal war, the UK is further stepping up its support and providing the largest number of drones to Ukraine this year. This significant boost, delivered through battle-tested drones, will give Ukrainian forces the capabilities they need to protect their people and counter Russian aggression,” said UK Defense Secretary John Healey.
According to him, despite the focus on events in the Middle East, support for Ukraine will remain unchanged.
The package is part of the UK’s overall military aid to Ukraine totaling £3 billion in 2026. London also plans to supply hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of missiles for air defense systems.
Earlier in February, the UK announced a £500 million air defense package, which included £150 million for the NATO PURL initiative and the supply of over 1,000 Lightweight Multirole Missiles.
